Canadian Review of Sociology is always accepting submissions for publication.

ARTICLES may be written in English or French.
Authors should submit through the online submission process at
www.blackwellpublishing.com/cars. The article should be accompanied by an
abstract of not more than 100 words, in both English and French if at all
possible. Manuscripts should generally not exceed 15 to 25 pages of
approximately 250 words each and must in no case exceed 30 pages, namely, 7,000
words, including appendices, notes and references.
Authors will also be asked to sign an acceptance-of-publication form, thus
assigning copyright to the Canadian Sociological Association agreeing that the
Association collect reprint fees to help defray the publishing costs.
Submission of a manuscript to a professional journal implies a commitment to
publish initially in that same journal. The processing of submissions requires
much time and effort on the part of readers and others. For these reasons, we
regard submission of a manuscript to a professional journal while it is under
review by another publishing outlet as unacceptable.

Les auteurs sont requis de signer un contrat de publication par lequel ils
cèdent leurs droits d'auteurs à la Société canadienne de sociologie et acceptent
que la Société perçoive des frais de réimpression en compensation des coûts de
publication.
La présentation d'un manuscrit à une revue professionnelle comporte un
engagement implicite à publier d'abord dans ce journal. Le traitement des
soumissions exige un temps et des efforts considérables de la part du comité des
lecteurs et des autres personnes qui participent au processus. C'est pourquoi,
nous considérons que le fait de soumettre un texte à un journal professionnel,
alors que le même texte est déjà à l'étude dans une autre publication est
inacceptable.
